Energy Audits Done Right

Your home's preformance matters

Home performance is about understanding how all the systems in a home - insulation, air sealing, heating and cooling equipment, ventilation, and more - work together to deliver comfort, efficiency, and health. When even one part of the home underperforms, it can lead to higher energy bills, uneven temperatures, poor indoor air quality, and unnecessary strain on equipment. A home that performs well is more comfortable, safer, and far more energy efficient

Michigan Home Energy Rebate Program

Michigan’s Home Energy Rebates program (MiHER) is a statewide rebate program designed to help households pay for upgrades that make a home more efficient, more comfortable, and less expensive to run. The program is administered by Michigan EGLE and is funded through the federal Inflation Reduction Act’s Home Energy Rebates programs.

Within MiHER, the rebate options include:

HOMES - Rebate track, which supports whole-home efficiency upgrades and is tied to measured and estimated energy savings thresholds. Think whole-home energy efficiency upgrades.

HEAR -
Rebate track for certain energy-efficient electric equipment and appliances. Think efficient electric equipment and related improvements.

How long does an audit take?

Most audits last 2–3 hours, depending on your home’s size and layout. The process includes a walkthrough, some testing, and a report with tailored recommendations.

Will an audit save me money?

Absolutely! An audit highlights where energy is wasted, helping you choose upgrades that can lower bills, reduce energy use, and boost your home’s value.
